How to measure temperature rise during reducer operation

1) Thermometer method: This is the simplest method to directly measure temperature, and alcohol thermometer is often used for measurement. During measurement, the thermometer can be placed close to the surface of the bearing to be measured or the stator core to read the temperature indication. When measuring the winding temperature, insert the thermometer into the lifting screw hole of the reducer. The measured temperature value is the winding surface temperature, and the hot spot temperature difference (10. c for Class B insulation) is the hottest spot temperature of the reducer winding. Subtract the ambient temperature from the reducer temperature to obtain the reducer temperature rise.
2) Resistance method: the resistance value of the metal wire increases with the increase of temperature. Within a certain temperature range, there is a certain functional relationship between the resistance value and the temperature. Using this principle, the temperature can be measured by measuring the resistance value of the winding, which is called resistance measurement. When using the resistance method, first measure the cold DC resistance RI of the winding with a bridge, and record that the ambient temperature (room temperature) at that time is small. When the reducer runs for a period of time, then measure the hot DC resistance of the winding, which can be obtained by substituting the formula.
