NGW-S52-11-1 How to determine whether the oil temperature is normal during daily operation of the planetary gear reducer
Publish Time: 2025-09-01 Origin: Site
According to the three indicators of 'actual oil temperature + surface temperature + temperature rise rate': the actual oil temperature is ≤95 ℃, the surface temperature is ≤85 ℃, the temperature rise ≤ambient temperature + 40 K; if any exceeds the limit or rises rapidly within 15 minutes, stop the machine and check immediately.
Determination criteria (applicable to NGW-S52-11-1)
Upper oil temperature limit: ≤95 ℃ (equilibrium oil temperature).
Surface temperature: ≤85 ℃.
Temperature rise rate: A warning will be made if it rises rapidly within 15 minutes.
Ambient temperature: -40~40 ℃; preheat or use low condensed oil when <0 ℃.
Daily judgment steps (can be directly executed)
Measure oil temperature: After shutdown for ≥10 minutes, insert the rod thermometer from the dipstick/sampling port for ≥2 minutes to read; during operation, the fixed temperature measurement point close to the oil tank shall prevail.
Review surface: Use an infrared thermometer to measure the middle part of the housing or bearing seat, ≤85 ℃; when the oil temperature is ≥85 ℃ and the oil temperature is close to 95 ℃, stop the machine immediately.
Calculate temperature rise: Temperature rise = actual measured oil temperature - ambient temperature; if it rises rapidly within > 40 K or within 15 minutes, reduce the load first or shut down the machine for inspection.
Synchronous observation: abnormal noise, vibration, oil level/oil quality, sealing and centering; priority is given to check lubrication and installation in case of abnormalities.
Key points and precautions
The reading position is consistent with the timing to form a baseline; record 'Oil temperature/surface temperature/ambient temperature/working conditions/time'.
Strengthen ventilation and sealing in high-temperature or high-dust environments; in summer, the surface temperature can be set to be a warning of ≥80 ℃.
If otherwise specified in the instructions, the manufacturer's parameters shall prevail.
