To clean the impurities inside the BW27-29 cycloidal pinwheel reducer case, you need to follow the standardized process of 'draining old oil → dismantling and cleaning → rinsing and drying → inspection and re-inspection' , focusing on removing metal abrasives, seal debris, lubricating oil oxidation deposits and other impurities generated by gear meshing to avoid impurities from exacerbating tooth surface wear and bearing failure. The specific operating steps and precautions are as follows:

1. Preliminary preparation and oil draining operation

Shutdown cooling: Make sure the reducer is completely shut down, and wait until the lubricating oil temperature drops below 40°C before operating to prevent burns from high-temperature oil and to avoid incomplete discharge caused by suspended impurities when hot oil is discharged.

Clean the outside: Wipe the dust and oil on the surface of the box, oil drain port, observation hole and other parts to prevent external impurities from entering the inside of the box during disassembly.

Complete oil drain: Unscrew the oil drain plug to completely drain the old oil in the box; if the oil drain port is located high, you can unscrew the upper oil level screw plug or the observation hole cover to speed up the oil drain. For reducers that have been used for more than 1 year or have serious oil contamination, it is necessary to remove the magnetic oil drain plug at the oil drain plug after draining the oil, and clean the metal abrasive particles adsorbed on it.

2. Targeted disassembly and parts cleaning

The BW27-29 reducer has a compact structure and contains precision components such as a cycloidal wheel, pin tooth pin, pin tooth shell, input and output shaft, etc. For cleaning, partial disassembly and cleaning or full disassembly and cleaning are required according to the degree of impurity contamination.

Partial disassembly and cleaning (suitable for mild pollution, impurities are mainly sludge and fine abrasive particles)

① Remove the observation hole cover or upper box bolts to expose the internal engaging parts;

② Use the same type of industrial gear oil or special cleaning agent as the original lubricating oil (water-based cleaning agents are strictly prohibited), and use a high-pressure oil gun (pressure controlled at 0.3~0.5MPa) to flush the meshing area between the cycloidal wheel and the pin tooth pin, the bearing raceway, the dead corner of the box, etc., and flush the impurities to the bottom of the box;

③ Unscrew the oil drain plug again, drain the flushing oil, and repeat flushing 2 to 3 times until the drained oil has no obvious impurities.

Full disassembly and cleaning (suitable for heavy contamination with a large amount of metal debris, seal rubber blocks or sediments)

① According to the disassembly manual, remove the motor, coupling, and output flange in sequence, unscrew the box connecting bolts, and separate the machine base from the upper box;

② Take out the core components such as the cycloidal wheel, pin tooth pin, pin tooth shell, and eccentric bearing, soak them in diesel or special gear box cleaning agent for 10 to 15 minutes, and then use a brush to gently scrub away impurities and sediments on the surface of the components. Be careful to avoid scratching the cycloidal wheel tooth surface and bearing raceway with the brush;

③ Clean the inside of the box, focusing on cleaning the oil dirt and impurities on the box walls, oil passages, bearing holes and other parts. For stubborn deposits, use a wooden scraper to gently scrape them off. It is strictly prohibited to use metal tools to prevent scratching the machined surface of the box.

3. Rinsing, drying and parts inspection

Rinsing treatment: After parts are cleaned, they need to be rinsed with clean new oil (the same type as the rated oil) to remove residual cleaning agent or old oil to avoid contamination of the new oil.

Drying treatment: Place the rinsed parts on a clean workbench to dry naturally, or blow dry with compressed air (moisture and oil stains need to be filtered) to ensure that there is no residual oil and moisture on the surface of the parts to prevent emulsification of lubricating oil after assembly.

Recheck the components: After cleaning, check whether the tooth surface of the cycloidal wheel is worn or pitted, whether the pin tooth pin is loose or deformed, whether the bearing rotates flexibly and without jamming; if parts are found to be damaged, they need to be replaced in time to avoid secondary failures after assembly.
