What are the effects of temperature change on the lubrication effect of ZQ650-25-2S soft-tooth surface gear reducer

The temperature change mainly affects the lubrication effect of ZQ650-25-2S soft-tooth surface gear reducer:

  • Impacts in low temperature environments :

    • Lubricant becomes thicker and fluidity weakens : At low temperatures, ordinary lubricant will become thicker and fluidity will become worse. This may cause difficulty in starting the reducer. If it is started frequently, it will aggravate the wear of the gears and bearings, and even make the reducer unable to work properly.

    • Lubrication delay : The increased viscosity of the lubricant oil will delay the time it reaches the lubricating part, making the gears and bearings not lubricated in time, thereby increasing friction and wear. This will seriously affect the transmission efficiency and life of the reducer in the long run.

    • Increased operating resistance : Lubricating oil with poor low-temperature fluidity will increase the resistance during the reducer operation, resulting in an increase in energy loss, which will not only affect the efficiency of the reducer, but also increase energy consumption and operating costs.

  • Impacts in high temperature environments :

    • Oxidation and deterioration of lubricating oil : When the ambient temperature is higher than 40℃, the lubricating oil is prone to deterioration due to high-temperature oxidation, deterioration of viscosity, and failure of lubricating performance.

    • Internal temperature rise superposition : High temperature will cause internal temperature rise superposition of reducer (the internal temperature is 10-20℃ higher than the environment during normal operation), which may exceed the flash point of lubricant (usually above 150℃), causing oil leakage, gear glue and other faults.

  • Effects of violent temperature fluctuations : Frequent and large changes in ambient temperature will cause thermal expansion and contraction of the reducer housing, which may accelerate the aging of the seal and loose bolts, which will cause oil leakage or abnormal parts matching gaps, affect the normal working environment of the lubricant and indirectly affect the lubricant effect.
