Adjusting the oil level of the ZDY gear reducer mainly involves checking the oil level, replenishing oil, and draining the old oil. Combined with the actual needs of daily maintenance, you usually need to prepare the following tools:
1. Observation and measurement tools:
Oil level mirror/oil dipstick: Most ZDY reducers come with an oil level mirror or oil dipstick, which is the most intuitive tool to judge the oil level.
Oil dipstick: If the equipment does not have an oil level mirror, or the fuselage is installed at an angle, you need to use a dipstick (or a clean thin metal rod) inserted vertically into the bottom of the box to check the oil level.
2. Disassembly and fastening tools:
Wrench set: Including open-end wrench, Allen wrench, etc., mainly used to remove the cover of the oil filler port, the oil drain bolt and the breather (breathable plug).
Screwdriver: May be used when removing parts of the cover or to assist in prying out seals.
3. Refueling and oil changing tools:
Funnel: Used to smoothly inject new oil into the reducer to prevent leakage.
Oil receiving barrel/waste oil barrel: If you need to drain old oil or release excess oil, you must prepare an oil receiving container in advance.
Oil can or oil pump: used to add a small amount of lubricating oil. If the oil filler opening is narrow or inconvenient to operate, it will be more efficient and accurate to use an oil pump (such as a pneumatic diaphragm pump) or an oil bottle with a long spout.
4. Cleaning and protective tools:
Rag and cleaning agent: Before opening the oil filler or oil drain port, be sure to wipe off the surrounding oil and dust to prevent impurities from falling into the box.
Gloves: Protect hands from direct contact with gear oil or contact with hot, sharp machine edges.
