Select the right sealing material and seal
Wet and corrosion-resistant materials are used: new sealing materials such as fluoroelastomer (FKM) and modified polyurethane, which have better aging resistance, mechanical strength and moisture resistance. Skeleton oil seals made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) can also be considered, which performs stable under the conditions of -40℃~200℃.
Choose high-quality seals: The seals on the market are of uneven quality, so you should choose reliable and durable seals. High-quality seals have better elasticity and wear resistance, and can maintain a stable sealing effect during long-term operation.
Improved seal structure design
Increase the number of sealing layers: You can use a double-lip seal design or a double-frame oil seal structure, and add a lip or a skeleton oil seal to the basis of a traditional single-lip seal or single-frame oil seal to form double protection. You can also add a sealing ring to seal between the gap between the oil seal and the protective cover, and then set up a maze seal to improve the sealing effect.
Optimized maze seal: The spiral maze seal can be improved through CFD simulation and other means, so that it can form an effective blocking air pressure under working conditions and improve the blocking efficiency of particles and moisture. At the same time, the gap, depth and shape of the maze groove are reasonably designed to improve the throttling effect.
Set up drainage and ventilation structures: Design a reasonable ventilation hole and drainage structure to prevent moisture from accumulating inside the equipment. Set up an oil drain hole under the maze seal to facilitate the release of excess oil and possible moisture in the maze.
Improve installation quality and maintenance management
Strict assembly standards: During the assembly of the reducer case, the operation must be strictly followed in accordance with the instructions. Ensure that the seal is installed correctly, the seal is well cooperated with the machine, and inspect it before use to avoid seal failure caused by improper assembly.
Establish a regular inspection mechanism: replace sealing devices that are aging or damaged in a timely manner to maintain the optimal working condition of the equipment and extend the service life.
