The alarm and shutdown threshold settings of the WPDKA80-40-1.5KW worm gear reducer need to comprehensively consider factors such as the equipment's operating parameters, load conditions, and manufacturer's recommendations. The following are some common setting methods and reference values:
Vibration threshold : The vibration status can be monitored by installing an acceleration sensor on the reducer housing. Generally speaking, the vibration speed warning value can be set to 4.5mm/s. When the vibration speed is greater than or equal to 11.2mm/s, it should be set as the shutdown threshold. You can also refer to the vibration intensity. Six times the safety limit is the allowable limit. When the detection value is greater than 80% of the allowable limit, shutdown for maintenance should be considered.
Temperature threshold : It is usually necessary to monitor the oil temperature of the reducer and the bearing temperature. The alarm threshold of oil temperature can be set to 70°C. When the oil temperature reaches 90°C, it should be set to the shutdown threshold. For bearing temperature, the alarm threshold can be set to 85°C.
Current Threshold : Use the current monitor to track motor current in real time. According to the rated current of the motor, the alarm threshold can generally be set to 1.2-1.3 times the rated current. When the current exceeds 1.5 times the rated current, the shutdown threshold is set to prevent the motor from overload operation.
Torque threshold : If the reducer is equipped with a torque limiter, the torque threshold can be set according to the rated torque of the reducer. When the output torque exceeds 1.5-2 times the rated torque, the torque limiter should automatically disconnect the transmission chain to prevent mechanical damage.
