The maintenance methods of CFD250 cooling tower fan reducer are as follows:

  • Lubrication system maintenance

    • Check the oil level regularly : Check the oil level at least once a week to ensure that the oil level is around 1/2 of the oil standard. If the oil level is found to be too low, you should add N320 industrial gear oil or No. 0 lithium-based grease gear oil that meets the requirements in time.

    • Change oil by cycle : The new reducer needs to be replaced after the running-in period of 150-300 hours (7-14 days). The second oil change is required after use until 3 months. After that, the reducer that has been working continuously for a long time can change the oil once every 6-8 months, and the reducer that has worked for no more than 8 hours a day can change the oil once every 10-12 months. When changing oil, it should be carried out at the operating temperature of the reducer to facilitate the discharge of old oil.

    • Oil product inspection : Before refueling or changing oil, check the quality of the oil. If the oil is turbid, impurities, discoloration or odor, it means that the oil has deteriorated and needs to be replaced in time.

  • Parts inspection and maintenance

    • Gear inspection : Check the gear contact accuracy and pitting conditions every year. The pit pit size length does not exceed 1/3 of the tooth length and 1/2 of the tooth height. If gear wear, pitting and other problems are found, deal with or replace the gear in time.

    • Bearing inspection : After shutting down the machine, turn the car and use a listening rod to stick the bearing box to listen to the sound. The normal sound should be crisp, continuous and even. If the sound is abnormal, such as dull, intermittent, or issuing the card, remove the bearing and check it further, and replace it after confirming that it fails.

    • Fastener inspection : Check each fastener, such as bolts, nuts, etc. every month to ensure that the connection is firm and there is no looseness or falling off. If you find looseness, tighten it in time.

    • Seal inspection : Check oil seals, seal rings and other seals regularly. If there is aging or wear, oil leakage, replace the seal in time.

  • Cleaning and heat dissipation

    • Surface cleaning : Regularly clean dust, oil and debris on the surface of the reducer shell to keep the surface clean to facilitate heat dissipation and prevent impurities from entering the interior.

    • Ventilation hole cleaning : Check whether the vent hole is blocked, ensure good ventilation and avoid excessive pressure in the box.

  • Operation monitoring

    • Temperature monitoring : Pay attention to the reducer temperature during operation. If the working balance temperature exceeds 90℃, check the oil level, oil quality, heat dissipation conditions, etc., check the reasons and solve them.

    • Sound monitoring : Listen to the running sound. If there is abnormal noise or vibration, shutdown check to determine whether it is a gear, bearing problem or other components fault.

    • Leak monitoring : Check whether there are any oil traces around the reducer. If there is oil leakage, find the leakage point and deal with it in time.
