The installation method of WHC180-60-III arc cylindrical worm gear and worm reducer is basically the same as the installation steps of general worm gear and worm reducer, as follows:


Preparation before installation

1. Equipment inspection : Check whether the reducer packaging is intact, whether there are any damage, deformation or missing parts. Check the nameplate parameters and confirm whether the model, specifications, etc. meet the design requirements.

2. Cleaning work : Clean the installation surface and connecting parts of the reducer, remove oil, rust, debris, etc., and ensure that the installation surface is flat and smooth.

3. Tools and materials preparation : prepare wrench, screwdriver, level, dial meters and other tools, as well as suitable sealant, lubricant and other materials.

Installation location selection

1. Suitable environment : Choose a dry, well-ventilated installation environment and less dust to avoid the reducer being exposed to humid, corrosive gases or high-temperature environments.


2. Easy to operate and maintain : The installation location should facilitate operators to conduct daily inspections, maintenance and maintenance work. At the same time, the heat dissipation needs of the reducer during operation should be taken into account, and sufficient space should be left around.

Installation steps

1. Foundation fixation : Install the reducer on a firm foundation and use anchor bolts to fix the reducer. During installation, the level of the reducer must be checked with a level, and the horizontal error should be controlled within the specified range, generally not exceeding 0.1mm/m.

2. Connect the motor : Connect the motor to the reducer, usually using a coupling to connect. When installing the coupling, it is necessary to ensure the coaxiality between the motor shaft and the reducer input shaft. The coaxiality error should meet the installation requirements of the coupling. Generally, the radial error does not exceed 0.05mm and the axial error does not exceed 0.1mm. Measurements and adjustments can be made using a dial table.

3. Connect the output shaft and the load : Connect the output shaft of the reducer and the load shaft through a coupling, and ensure coaxiality. When the keyed hollow output shaft is connected to the working machine shaft, anti-rust oil should be applied, and it should be pushed in easily when loading, or pulled (pressed) with bolts. When the hollow output shaft of the expansion plate is connected to the working machine shaft, there should be no oil or grease at one end of the expansion plate, and the other end can be coated with anti-rust oil.


4. Pipe connection : If the reducer needs to connect the inlet and outlet pipes, it is necessary to ensure that the pipelines are connected firmly and seal well to prevent oil leakage. At the same time, pay attention to the arrangement of the pipeline to avoid additional stress on the reducer.

5. Other installation matters : If it is a shaft-mounted reducer, you should also pay attention to the reaction torque acting on its box, which can be balanced by the reaction torque bracket installed on the box.

Check and test run after installation

1. Check : After the installation is completed, check whether the installation bolts of the reducer are tight, whether the coupling is reliable, and whether the seal is installed in place, etc.

2. Trial operation : Load test run should be carried out before formal use, and no-load operation should be carried out first. Only when idle is free of faults can it be loaded. During operation, check whether the reducer is operating normally, whether there is abnormal noise and excessive temperature.
