What measures should be taken when the heat sink of the JZQ500-50-2Z soft tooth surface reducer becomes loose or damaged?

‌Stop immediately to check and repair the heat sink to avoid equipment overheating and damage‌. Loose or damaged heat sinks of the JZQ500-50-2Z soft tooth surface reducer will significantly reduce the heat dissipation capacity, cause the temperature of the box to rise abnormally, accelerate the deterioration of the lubricating oil, cause severe wear of the gears and bearings, and even cause sudden equipment failure.

To ensure safe operation of the equipment, the following measures should be taken:

‌1. Stop the machine and cut off the power, and conduct visual and manual inspection
. ‌Check whether the fixing bolts of the heat sink are loose, broken or missing, and whether the heat sink body is deformed, cracked or separated from the box. Gently shake the heat sink with your hand. If there is obvious shaking or abnormal noise, it is judged to be loose.

‌2. Use tools for accurate detection‌

(1) Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the joint surface of the heat sink and the box. If it exceeds 0.1mm, it means poor fit.

(2) Use an infrared thermometer to detect the temperature difference between the box and the heat sink during operation. If the temperature difference is greater than 15°C, it indicates thermal conductivity failure.

(3) Use a torque wrench to recheck the bolt tightening torque to ensure that it reaches the standard value.

3‌. Repair or replace damaged parts in time‌

(1) Retighten the loose bolts and install anti-loosening washers.

(2) If the heat sink is deformed or broken, the heat sink should be replaced with the same type of heat sink to avoid using non-original accessories that will affect the heat dissipation matching.

(3) Apply thermal conductive silicone grease (thermal conductivity ≥1.5W/(m·K)) to the joint surface to improve heat conduction efficiency.

4‌. Continuously monitor temperature and vibration after operation‌‌

After repair, perform a no-load test run and monitor whether the base temperature is stable at ‌ ≤ 80°C and the temperature rise does not exceed 40K. At the same time, pay attention to whether there is any abnormal vibration or noise.

5. Strengthen regular maintenance to prevent recurrence‌

(1) Use compressed air to clean the heat sink dust every week to prevent the accumulation of coal dust or oil dirt from affecting heat dissipation.

(2) Check the alignment of the shaft system every quarter to avoid excessive heat caused by unbalanced loads.

(3) Under high temperature conditions, shorten the lubricating oil replacement cycle to once every 4 months to ensure lubrication and heat dissipation performance.
