In addition to the poor alignment, what other reasons can cause vibration of the FAF47-120-2.2KW speed reducer chassis

In addition to poor alignment, the following reasons may also cause vibration of the FAF47-120-2.2KW speed reducer chassis:

  • Mechanical aspects

    • Loose fasteners : loose fasteners such as bolts, nuts, and reducer anchor bolts that connect the reducer and motor will cause increased relative movement between the components, thereby causing vibration.

    • Problems with transmission components : Uneven tension of the transmission belt or chain can cause vibration during operation, especially during start and stop. In addition, wear, pitting, peeling, cracking or poor meshing will cause additional impact and noise when the gear is engaged, causing vibration.

    • Bearing failure : Bearing wear, poor lubrication, too large or too small gap, loose or cracked, etc., will cause uneven surfaces of the bearing and increase rolling resistance, thereby inducing vibration and noise, affecting the overall work of the reducer.

    • Installation problems : Improper support at the bottom of the reducer, unstable base plane, such as small steel plate support, or excessive number of shim layers, irregular shims, and unstable welding, etc., will reduce the connection rigidity during support of the reducer and easily vibrate during operation.

    • Unbalanced mass : The mass distribution of rotating components such as gears, bearings, etc. in the reducer is uneven. Manufacturing errors, wear or accidental impacts may lead to imbalance, and centrifugal force-induced vibrations are generated during rotation.

  • Lubrication

    • Insufficient oil : Insufficient oil will cause poor lubrication, causing dry or semi-dry friction between the transmission parts, thereby inducing vibration and noise.

    • Oil contamination and deterioration : Oil contamination will cause impurities and moisture to be mixed into the lubricating oil, reducing lubricating and wear resistance characteristics, and accelerating wear and damage to transmission components. The oil is used for a long time or deteriorated by environmental factors such as high temperatures, which may also cause vibration and noise.

    • Improper oil selection : The selected oil cannot meet the lubrication needs of the reducer, which will lead to poor lubrication effect, causing increased friction between parts, and thus causing vibration.

  • External factors

    • Load Problems : If the reducer bears a load that exceeds its design capability, or the working load is unbalanced, it may cause the system to be imbalanced and thus cause vibration.

    • External interference : External factors such as vibration of buildings and operation of other equipment may also be transmitted to the reducer, causing them to vibrate.
