The key to selecting the appropriate model and assembly form for the F series parallel shaft helical gear reducer is to match the limited installation space with the structural characteristics of the reducer. F-Series reducers are known for their slim and compact design, making them ideal for applications where space is limited.
You can do this by following the following two-step processSelection:
Step 1: Determine the base model (specifications)
The base model (such as F37, F47, F57, etc.) determines the physical size and load-bearing capacity of the reducer. The main basis for selection is the output torque and installation space required by the equipment.
Calculate the required torque: First determine how much output torque your equipment requires (unit: N·m). F series reducers cover a wide range of torque, ranging from 130 N·m to 18,000 N·m.
Matching the base size: On the premise of meeting the torque requirements, combined with your actual installation space, select the most appropriate size of the base size. Generally, the larger the frame number, the greater its Dimensions and load-bearing torque.
Step 2: Choose the assembly form
After determining the frame number, the next step is to select the most appropriate assembly form based on the specific installation interface and space constraints of the equipment. F series reducers provide a very rich range of installation options, which can be mainly divided into three categories:
1. Foot-mounted
This is the most common installation method. The reducer is fixed on the equipment frame through the mounting feet and bolts at the bottom.
F: Standard foot installation, the output shaft is a solid shaft. This is the most basic form.
FA: Foot mounted, but the output shaft is hollow. The hollow shaft can be directly placed on the main shaft of the working machine, saving couplings and other components.
FH: Foot-mounted, hollow shaft with shrink disk (shrink disk). Keyless connection is achieved by tightening the bolts of the shrink disk, making installation and disassembly easy and positioning precise.
FV: Foot mounted, hollow shaft splined. Suitable for occasions where greater torque needs to be transmitted or axial movement exists.
2. Flange-mounted
The reducer is directly fixed on the equipment through the flange at the front end, and is suitable for vertical or specific angle installation.
FF: B5 flange mounting, output shaft is solid shaft.
FAF: B5 flange installation, the output shaft is a hollow shaft.
FHF: B5 flange mounting, hollow shaft with shrink disk.
FVF: B5 flange mounting, hollow shaft with splines.
FAZ: B14 flange installation, the output shaft is a hollow shaft. B14 flanges are generally smaller in size than B5 flanges.
FHZ: B14 flange mounting, hollow shaft with shrink disk.
FVZ: B14 flange mounting, hollow shaft with splines.
3. Hollow shaft installation (Shaft-mounted)
This form has no feet or flanges. The reducer is directly suspended and fixed on the main shaft of the working machine. It usually requires a torque arm to balance the reaction moment. This method saves the most space.
FA: Hollow shaft mounting, keyed connection.
FH: Hollow shaft mounting with shrink disk.
FV: Hollow shaft mounting, with splines.
