Use a sound level meter and spectrum analyzer to check the noise of the ZSY250 gear reducer. You can refer to the following steps:
1. Preparation:
Calibration: The sound level meter must be calibrated before use to ensure the accuracy of the instrument measurement. The calibrator can generate a signal of a known sound pressure level to calibrate the sound level meter.
Select measurement mode: According to the characteristics of reducer noise, select the appropriate time-weighted mode. For example, the fast response mode is suitable for measuring stable noise, and the slow response mode is suitable for measuring noise with large fluctuations.
Set measurement range: Estimate the sound pressure level range of the reducer noise and set a suitable measurement range to avoid inaccurate measurement results due to improper range selection.
2. Determine the measurement point:
Generally, multiple measurement points can be selected around the housing of the reducer, such as 1 meter away from the housing, and the height is approximately the same as the height of the central axis of the reducer. You can also choose to measure at the input, output end, gear bearing and other positions of the transmission chain.
The measurement points should be evenly distributed around the reducer to fully reflect the noise of the reducer.
3. Measure noise:
Ensure that the background noise of the measurement environment is less than 10dB than the noise of the reducer being measured. If the background noise is too high, measures need to be taken to reduce the background noise or correct the measurement results.
Start the reducer, and after its operation is stable, place the sound level meter at the selected measurement point, and read and record the value of the sound level meter. Each measurement point can be measured 3 times, and the average value is taken as the noise value of the point.
1. Connection and settings:
Connect the spectrum analyzer to the appropriate microphone to ensure a secure connection.
To calibrate the spectrum analyzer, you can refer to the instrument's operating manual for calibration steps.
Setting the parameters of the spectrum analyzer, such as resolution bandwidth (RBW), is recommended to start at 1kHz or less to improve spectrum resolution; the video bandwidth (VBW) is generally set to 1/10 to 1/100 of the RBW, which is used to smoothly display noise and signals.
2. Measurement and data collection:
Place the microphone at the same or close to the measuring point of the sound level meter to ensure that the noise signal from the reducer can be accurately collected.
Start the spectrum analyzer and start collecting noise signals. The acquisition time should be determined based on the stability of the noise and the measurement purpose, usually from 1 minute to 10 minutes.
3. Data analysis:
Adjust the display parameters of the spectrum analyzer, such as scaling, offset, etc., so as to observe the spectrum characteristics of the noise more clearly.
Using the peak detection function of the spectrum analyzer, the noise peak in the spectrum graph is marked to determine the main frequency components of the noise.
The spectrum of different measurement points or under different operating conditions can be compared to find out the changes in the noise frequency components and analyze the noise source.
Through the combined use of sound level meter and spectrum analyzer, we can fully understand the noise level and frequency characteristics of the ZSY250 gear reducer, providing a basis for finding the cause of noise and taking corresponding noise reduction measures.
