1. Preparation :

  • Tools and equipment : prepare vibration analyzer, test block (multiple specifications), electronic phase meter, wrench, marker, safety lock, etc.

  • Safety measures : Stop the machine and cut off the power supply, lock the sign, and then operate it after confirming that the equipment is completely stationary.

  • Inspection equipment : Exclude bearing damage, looseness, and irregularity.

2. Initial vibration measurement :

  • Installing vibration sensors at the bearing seat of the reducer or near the rotor generally requires installation in both horizontal and vertical directions.

  • Start the device to the operating speed and record the initial vibration value using a vibration analyzer, including the amplitude and phase angle.


3. Data analysis :

  • Use a vibration analyzer to identify whether the dominant frequency is 1× speed frequency to confirm whether it is static or dynamic imbalance.

  • To determine the type of imbalance, if it is a rotor with a relatively large length diameter, double-plane balance may be required.

4. Trial repetition method (single-plane balance example) :

  • Try re-select : The weight of the test block is usually 10%-30% of the estimated unbalance of the rotor.

  • Installation trial repetition : Fix the trial repetition at any angle position of the rotor, such as the 0° position, then restart the device and measure the vibration value, and record the amplitude and phase angle at this time.


5. Calculate the correction amount :

  • The position and size of the corrected counterweight were calculated by vector analysis or balance software. For example, the original vibration vector and the vibration vector after the trial repetition are known, and the trial repetition influence vector is calculated, and the required counterweight is obtained.

6. Install and correct counterweight :

  • Based on the calculation results, install the precise counterweight at the specified angle to ensure firmness.

7. Verification and fine-tuning :

  • Rerun the device and measure the vibration value. If the amplitude drops below the corresponding level in accordance with ISO 1940 standards, the balance is successful. Otherwise, repeat the steps of trial re-recalling, calculating and installing the counterweight until the vibration value meets the requirements.

  • Record the vibration data, counterweight position and weight before and after calibration, and generate a report archive.
