Low temperature environment : If the ambient temperature is below -10℃, low viscosity lubricating oil with low pour point and low temperature flowability should be selected, such as ISO VG68, ISO VG100 and other viscosity grade oils, or special low temperature greases, to ensure that the lubricating oil can flow smoothly at low temperatures and reduce starting resistance.
Choose a lubricant type
Special worm gear and worm oil : This is a lubricating oil specially designed for worm gear and worm reducers. It has excellent protection, lubricity, low temperature, water resistance, as well as good oxidative stability, shear stability and extreme pressure performance, and can be preferred.
Synthetic oil : Synthetic oil has better high-temperature and anti-oxidation properties, and is suitable for high-temperature and high-load working conditions. If the operating environment of the reducer is high or the load is heavy, you can consider using synthetic oil.
Mineral Oil : Mineral oil is the most common type with good lubricating properties and heat dissipation properties. However, when selecting mineral oil, it is necessary to ensure that the viscosity is above ISO VG460 to ensure the normal operation of the turbo reducer.
Other precautions
Anti-wear extreme pressure : The sliding friction coefficient between the worm and the worm gear of the worm gear of the worm gear of the worm gear is relatively large. Lubricating oil containing thiophosphorus-type extreme pressure additives is required to provide sufficient oil film strength to meet the lubrication requirements of sliding friction.
Copper corrosion resistance : Since worm gear reducers often contain copper alloy parts, the selected lubricant additives are compatible with copper materials, and lubricant containing sulfur-containing extreme pressure agents that may corrode the copper alloy should be avoided.
