BWD45-87-7.5KW Cycloid reducer output shaft fracture may be caused by the following overload conditions:
Improper Selection results in long-term overload : If various factors in actual work are not fully considered at Selection, so that the rated output torque of the selected reducer does not match the actual required torque, it may cause the reducer to be in a long-term overload state. For example, in some working scenarios where frequent start, braking or large impact loads are present, if only the conventional average load is Selection and sufficient torque margin is not reserved, then even under normal working loads, the reducer may fail the output shaft due to the inability to withstand these additional impacts.
Equipment failure causes sudden increase in load : During operation, some failures may occur, resulting in sudden increase in load of reducer, exceeding its ability to withstand. For example, the mechanical components of the driven equipment are stuck and stuck, causing the output shaft of the reducer to be greatly resisted when rotating. The drive motor has a certain overload capacity, and the output force will continue to increase, which will cause the torque received by the reducer output shaft far exceeding its rated value, which will eventually lead to the shaft breakage.
Frequent acceleration and deceleration : If the equipment requires frequent acceleration and deceleration operations, the instantaneous torque on the output shaft of the reducer may exceed 2 times its rated output torque. This frequent torque impact will cause fatigue cracks to occur inside the output shaft material. As time goes by and the number of impacts increases, these cracks will gradually expand, eventually causing the output shaft to break.
Unexpected impact load : During the operation of the equipment, some unexpected impact loads may be encountered, such as heavy objects falling on the running equipment, collisions between equipment, etc. The huge impact load generated in these moments will be transmitted to the output shaft of the reducer through the transmission system. If the impact energy is too large and exceeds the bearing limit of the output shaft, it will cause the output shaft to break.
Radial load is too large : If the radial force borne by the reducer's output shaft exceeds its rated allowable value, it will also cause damage to the output shaft. For example, the output shaft has different connections to the load device during installation, or the load device produces a large radial displacement during operation, which will cause the output shaft to be subjected to additional radial forces. Long-term exposure to such excessive radial load will cause bending and deformation of the output shaft, and then cracks will appear in the stress-concentrated area and eventually break.
