Determine the rated load based on the model of the soft tooth surface reducer. A comprehensive judgment must be made based on the model coding rules, manufacturer's technical parameters and actual working conditions. The specific methods are as follows:


1. Analyze the load information in the model code

  1. Model Structure Disassembly
    Soft tooth surface reducer models usually include key parameters such as series code, center distance, speed ratio (such as R series, K series), where the center distance (such as R37, K67) is directly related to the rated torque. For example:

  • R series‌ : The center distance of 37mm corresponds to the rated torque of about 50N·m, and 67mm corresponds to 200N·m.

  • K Series‌ : The digital part of the model (such as K67) indicates the center distance. For every 10mm increase, the rated torque is increased by about 30%-40%.

  • At For example, the K67-50 model (speed ratio 50:1) is about 15%-20% higher than the K67-20 model (speed ratio 20:1).the same center distance between
    the speed ratio and torque , the greater the speed ratio, the higher the rated torque.


2. Check the manufacturer's technical documents

  1. ‌Rated torque table query‌The rated torque will be clearly marked in the model parameter table provided by
    the manufacturer (for example, the rated torque of the R37-10 model is 45N·m, and the K67-50 model is 180N·m). Note:

  • The rated torque value is based on standard operating conditions (continuous operation, ambient temperature ≤40℃).

  • If the model suffix contains 'S' or 'F', it may indicate a special design (such as reinforced type), and the rated torque is increased by 10%-20%.

  • ‌Load type correction‌
    According to the load characteristics (constant/impact/intermittent) you need to multiply by the safety factor (K=1.2-2.5), for example:

  • For impact load (such as crusher) K=1.8-2.0 is required.

  • For frequent start and stop work, you need to choose K=1.5-1.8‌.


3. Practical application verification

  1. ‌Output shaft specifications and
    rated torque must be matched with the output shaft diameter and keyway size. For example:

  • For soft-tooth surface reducers with output shaft diameter ≥25mm, the rated torque is usually ≥100N·m.

  • Hollow shaft designs (such as the CJY series) require additional axial thrust ‌.

  • Temperature rise and efficiency verification
    Soft tooth surface reducer efficiency is usually 85%-90%. If the actual load is close to the rated value, the oil temperature (≤80℃) needs to be monitored to avoid lubrication failure.


4. Special model processing

  1. ‌Not- standard customized models‌Some manufacturers provide customized models (such as WPDS series),
    which need to pass calculation verification:

  • Rated torque ≥ (load torque × safety factor)‌.

  • It is necessary to check whether the input power matches the motor (P≥T×n/9550×η).

  • Multi- stage transmission models
    multi -stage soft-toothed reducers (such as secondary planets) need to distribute torque step by step, and the total rated torque is 80%-90% of the product of each stage.
