The SEW reducer is planned as a vertical device due to the structural requirements. In general, due to the small size of the SEW reducer, in order to meet the cooling requirements and check the heat capacity, it is generally necessary to add a non-powered electric fan to the high-speed shaft.In addition, in order to avoid oil leakage in the direction of the lower shaft extension of the reducer, the sealing method adopts a combined seal, that is, a skeleton seal plus a labyrinth seal, which is a new type of SEW reducer that is different from normal reducers.


This kind of seal is specially designed for the reducer working in a dusty environment. There are a series of seals combined (radial seal ring, laminar seal, labyrinth seal filled with grease) to prevent dust from intruding.The radial seal ring and layered seal seal the lubricating oil in the box, and the labyrinth seal filled with lubricating grease prevents dust from entering.


The bearing on the upper part of the SEW reducer is oil-immersed or forced lubricated. In the current selected SEW reducer, forced lubrication is not required, and oil-immersed lubrication is used. This requires an oil replenishment tank on the upper part of the reducer, and the oil replenishment tank The oil level should be higher than the upper bearing position of the reducer to meet the oil-immersed lubrication requirements of the bearing.


It is worth noting the axial force and radial force received by the output shaft of the SEW reducer, because the bearings of the output shaft of the SEW reducer are installed according to the convention, and there are certain restrictions on receiving external forces.When there is a large external force, it is necessary to redesign the structure of the reducer and select the bearing according to the supplied axial force and radial force.


However, the steel rope driving wheel of the overhead passenger vehicle is subject to a large torque. If it is directly connected to the reducer through a coupling, the external force is much greater than the radial force and axial force limited by the standard design and the reducer with reinforced bearings.


However, if you choose a different design SEW reducer, its cost will increase significantly.In actual production and application, when the equipment manufacturer connects the drive wheel with the reducer, an additional sleeve bearing seat is added to bear the radial force of the steel cable drive wheel, so as to eliminate the influence of external force on the reducer.
